Last day of April as I’m writing this, Temps consistently mid to upper 80’s during the day this time of year, 100 degrees expected today tho. (we hit 101 degrees here in the Catalina Hills) Been experimenting off an on with Stable Diffusion (SD)since about Feb, more off than on, most off my focus had been on mastering Midjourney (MJ). The last two weeks I turned my eye back to SD, because I wanted more creative control than MJ allows and ability to create NSFW images which MJ filters against. Lots of Youtube videos, reddit forums and trial and error, I can generate reliably some pretty decent images, well at least as compared to what I was able to in February…

When I say I struggled with it, I struggled with it! MJ is so much easier to work with and create stunning images, effortlessly!

Early MARCH’s Efforts

Started seeing improvement, then got sidetracked when I discovered LORA’s and got stuck in that rabbit hole for a couple of weeks. LORA’s kinda act like that app that allows you to upload images and then generate different images of yourself as different characters. The image at the top of the post is based on a LORA dataset, based on images of me.

I soon started seeing some spectacular work that was being created with SD and never one to accept defeat, challenged myself get just as good with it, as I am with MJ. I still have a lot to learn with both platforms, but I’m happy enough finally with SD, to switch back n forth between the two, depending on the project.
